The solar'cup of Chartres is a race of solar vehicles. The race is divided into two categories:

17th feb 2018: Doors Open Day at the IUT of Chartres
As every year, we were at the IUT of Chartres on the occasion of its doors open day.
The solar'cup of Chartres is a race of solar vehicles. The race is divided into two categories:

Meet the fourth edition of the solar'cup of Chartres on 24 and 25 June 2017.
This edition will met 23 teams including 15 solar prototypes and 8 solar bikes.

The electroplane transfert is realized! Initially stored by Daniel DALBY, we transferred it to our premises, at the ULM platform of "La Saussay".

15th October 2016: New Project: Electroplane - Engine Tests
A new project was created at AILEC: An electrical motorized glider.
AILEC realizes the electric motorization of a glider prototype: the electroplane.
Bench drive tests have started today.

6th September 2014: The scoutchel in flight of presentation at the meeting of Blois 2014
The scoutchel was able to perform a demonstration flight at the international ULM meeting of Blois 2014.
The scoutchel was on the France ULM championship 2014, and it ranks 2nd with the pilot Thomas JORON. The Scoutchel was realized and provided by Daniel DALBY.

30th June 2014: Aeronautic Camp 2014
This year, for the first time, the Association Aéro Innovation Loisir EleCtrique (AILEC) organized an aeronautic camp for beginners.
Watch the video
On the program:
- Discovery flight (baptisms) or double command with instructor.
- Aeronautical courses: aerodynamics, flight mechanics, aircraft knowledge, meteorology, navigation, flight safety and history of aeronautics and space.
- Introducing the electric hot-air balloon.
- Construction and maintenance of electric and thermal ULMs.
Advantages:
- The camp is free (course and mechanics on ULM).
- Cost of flights: price of fuel and instructor if any.
In partnership:
- Jabiru France: Flying school of Alexandre PATTE.
Access conditions:
- Members of the association AILEC and/or Members of Chartres IUT.
